Like all great things in life, my career in the wine industry began by accident. While waiting in the career center of Saint Joseph's University Food Marketing department for an interview, I was asked to fill in for someone that was a no show. The company was E&J Gallo Winery. I filled in so well, I got the job. I never met the person that missed the interview, but I wish I could thank them. I have been in the wine industry since 1984. I have had the opportunity to work with some of the finest wine and spirit companies in the industry. I have traveled the world to many of the best known wineries, and I have been on record as the first American visiting a few. I had the opportunity to create a few brands of my own. The experience was very rewarding and humbling at the same time. I am blessed with a beautiful wife and two amazing children.

I always found it amazing that grapes can originate from the same basic genealogy yet come out so different. You ask yourself why the world could possibly need another wine brand yet find it difficult to find two wines that taste identical. Wine is a lot like the human race in the respect — everyone is born with the opportunity to be great. Surround yourself with the best and you'll do great things. I guess that is true with wine and people. That is certainly why I chose to be part of Pacific Rim.
